At last night's midnight-dark waking
I saw the air shimmer.
It brushed the room with soft waves
past sleep sore eyes.
A ghost of a feeling
caught in summer wheat stalks,
echoing with hotel room laughter,
cool with barefoot beaches.
It was there in the morning
giving me hope and fear.
Falling steeply again;
now what?

Sunshine Love
Muggy head rests
on thump-thump chest;
up down, up down.
Your pulse thrums in my ears.
Face grazes my cheek, gentle-gritty,
while the summer wind outside marvels,
moaning through the reeds
and whispering across the water-top -
another one lost!
And I know it knows,
showing the wind as I sigh
into your kiss.
Low, summer-death sun
dusts the floor by our side.
Deepens into heady dusk,
then star-swilling night.
On and on, over and over.
Fingertips touch to touch
and the world runs by for right now,
we are eternal.
Time courses through it.
And so it will always be.
on thump-thump chest;
up down, up down.
Your pulse thrums in my ears.
Face grazes my cheek, gentle-gritty,
while the summer wind outside marvels,
moaning through the reeds
and whispering across the water-top -
another one lost!
And I know it knows,
showing the wind as I sigh

Light-draining Spectacular.
Slow steady soft
outlined by the lazy,
low light.
Filled out on your sofa,
movie on T.V.
I look over
and your gentle hair
is drawn by the afternoon sunshine.
More than being at the seaside,
air whirling in ears,
rotten seaweed
salty fish smell,
sand below me -
more than that,
this is my pleasure.
You, me,
this afternoon
when the light drains spectacular,
watery colours.
I love the days.
outlined by the lazy,
low light.

You IV: And Now.
And now
I pick up mirror shards.
Walking on ice watery-thin,
slip cut fingertips.
What, why, is,
for everything,
no more yes, this is,
for me.
I am feeding myself
to uncertainty.
Others' eyes mould into yours
giving over to blood welling desire
in a search
for lost you.
Every day
is your gravestone.
Each reminder
a relic.
Time has never been so foreign.
It slows with each dying minute.
I pick up mirror shards.
Walking on ice watery-thin,
slip cut fingertips.
What, why, is,
for everything,
no more yes, this is,

You III.
Candlelight hangs the bar
as we sit outside,
blue smoke curling up.
For the first,
you looked in my eyes.
For the first,
you touched my hair
as if you had ownership.
For the first,
you held me.
This is what it feels like.
We parted;
no more.
Enough now.
as we sit outside,
blue smoke curling up.
For the first,
you looked in my eyes.
For the first,
you touched my hair
as if you had ownership.
For the first,
you held me.
This is what it feels like.
We parted;
no more.
Enough now.
You II.
I think
it is now to say goodbye.
Lilac light drains winter sky,
sharpened
by stinging weather.
Dread longing hangs over us,
black silk,
seedy, lingering.
My heart can't beat faster.
It is now
I need to say goodbye
before I heave my heart
into my mouth.
it is now to say goodbye.
Lilac light drains winter sky,
sharpened
by stinging weather.
Dread longing hangs over us,
black silk,
seedy, lingering.
My heart can't beat faster.
It is now
I need to say goodbye
before I heave my heart
into my mouth.
You.
And to do what?
Fall and sway
like a seaweed in the tide?
Wait, anticipating
never said words?
I lap at your feet,
a puppy craving glances,
stealthy touch.
I see you together
and my bones ache
for that strength of feeling,
for you and I to -
but wait;
to do what?
You will never know
and for me, it carries on.
Fall and sway
like a seaweed in the tide?
Wait, anticipating
never said words?
I lap at your feet,
a puppy craving glances,
stealthy touch.
I see you together
and my bones ache
for that strength of feeling,

The Circus
Her skin pulses on mine.
Muscles, sinews,
arching as one,
rippling and rising together.
Love the feel of hot flesh,
steady hands, slow movements.
Smoky air
floats across red lit floor.
Bodies as one,
We are secret lovers in the ring.
Muscles, sinews,
arching as one,
rippling and rising together.
Love the feel of hot flesh,
steady hands, slow movements.
Smoky air
floats across red lit floor.
Bodies as one,
We are secret lovers in the ring.
